Youth Development

Conventions, a monthly class on self-development, and career guidance — open to any young person.

A youth convention filling Vivekananda Hall

Swami Amartyananda, Secretary of the centre, conducts a monthly class for youth on Self-Development, on the third Sunday of every month.

The conventions reach much further. In the reporting year a Youth Conference drew 500 students from schools and colleges, and a Special Youth Conference marking the anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago address was attended by 1,000 young delegates.

National Youth Day is observed on 12 January, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, with bhajan, discourse and participation from schools across Agartala.
